I used to feel the same way about 3d... Until i did a couple of features
back to back and realised that the smart people converge at the screen.
This lets you shoot over the shoulder shots etc just like you always did
and the feeling is much more akin to looking through a window. The
'things coming at you' nonsense is in my opinion the same as everyone
wearing bright blue suits in the early days of colour tv, when it
settles down it will be normal to have a window on the world rather than
a screen.
I still feel it currently adds nothing greatly worthwhile to the viewing
process unlike say shooting in 8K for ultrahd presentation. :) plus it
ruins the fun of compositing as I can't paint anything.
