Re: [Avid-L2] Converting audio frame rates

Why does he need to slow it down?  2 seconds of audio at 23.98 is still two seconds. Two seconds of audio at 25 fps is still 2 seconds.

We deal with this a lot with Sync-N-Link because so much audio is recorded with a nominal 29.97 fps even if the video is shot at 23.98. Since audio has no frames, we just assign the appropriate frame rate for synchronizing purposes.

This is actually a request from a friend. He's working in a 23.98 FCP project
and has received audio AIFF files at 25fps. He needs to slow them down to use
in this project.
How would that be done.
Thanks,
Alan

You shouldn't have to convert audio as frames are irrelevant. Unless you mean you need to slow it down?
