Are they those weird stereo tracks that became an option in what, V.5? Can't remember now. They're sort of two tracks in one. Assuming they are of that type, if you right click the track you'll get an option to "split track to mono." I don't know if these track types resist when you try to mixdown, but it's something I would check.

Subject: [Avid-L2] audio won't mixdown
What would prevent two tracks from doing an audio mix down? I have 10 tracks and wanted to do a mix down. It just sat there and the bar never moved. After 8 minutes (the entire sequence is 10 minutes) I stopped it. I started to do just the bottom 4 music and fx. Mixdown fine. Then the next four fx tracks. Mixdown fine. Now tracks 1 and 2 which is really just natural sot clips but lots of spaces as well as lots of slo mo does not have audio. These are the two that won't mix down. The mix down window goes into action and the clock runs but the bar never moves. What am I overlooking here?
