[Avid-L2] Naming system for multigroup sub-clips

 

My editor is trying to rename a sub-clip from a multigroup.  The sub-clip retains the new name, but when it is cut into a sequence, it reverts back to the generic clip name generated by the camera (ie AA1234).

Why does Avid do this, and is there some sort of workaround?
