I'm way slower in Resolve... Partly because of my relative unfamiliarity with it, but also because of it's strength and power. I spend time doing things I wouldn't otherwise bother with in Symphony (I quite often pull highlight keys to bring the highlights down separately to avoid clipping, for example).
Also the lack of relational abilities make me much less efficient, at least for what I'm doing.

Now if you are talking about a full tilt panel setup then I see where with acclimation the panel would make things faster. Perhaps you've just really gotten use to Resolve but I find it hard to believe that for a project of quick turn around you describe that it would be faster to send out to Resolve and then come back to Avid for output. If it's just a file output that would be different and perhaps that's your need.
