[Avid-L2] Powerpoint Extraction

I was asked today to extract an audio file from a Powerpoint this morning. I had no idea how to do this, so I Googled it. The solution surprised me.

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/powerpoint-help/extract-files-or-objects-from-a-powerpoint-2010-file-HA101821613.aspx

Change the suffix of the PP file from .ppt to .zip.  (Of course, I did this on a COPY of the original file).
"The file type icon changes to a zipped folder. Double-click the folder to open. The zipped file contains several folders, many of which contain information such as XML code or properties. Objects such as videos, sound files or documents are found in the ppt folder."
And it looks to me like the images are in their original size and resolution.
And you can reverse the procedure to change back to a PP.

I hope this is useful to someone else, too.
