You can't do background Transcode/Consolidating to a network drive at the moment on MC7, but I'm sure that will change soon.
Also there are some compatability issues between MC7 and earlier versions of MC, so make sure you either upgrade all your seats or upgrade any 5.5's and 6.5's to the latest patch.
