I have occasionally seen this error message when attempting to review a sequence from an old job whose media resides only on a single 7200 RPM hard drive. Basically, the drive can't deliver the media in the sequence quickly enough to Media Composer.
You indicate having removed a second Promise Pegasus -- which leads me to believe there's a 'first'.
Is it possible the RAID array in your 'first' Promise Pegasus is in a degraded state -- or possibly rebuilding (if you happen to have a 'hot spare' already installed)?

A PCIe laptop adaptor connects to the Mojo, which is sending out to a 42" plasma via HDMI. The project is fully DNxHD 115 MXF, NOT AMA, This is a simple feature film project that is mostly one video track, mostly just cuts, with nothing fancy going on. Those are the basics. Yes, I have about 6 TB of MXF files, but so what?

In other words, I hate to lose all the cool MC7 features such as the LUTs and the masking, but if I can't work because the system keeps crashing, then I can't work. I've already reinstalled the OS, MC 7, and never work with anything else open. I've done everything a responsible user should do, but nothing helps. This is extraordinarily frustrating. I've never had these kinds of chronic problems with Avid before.
