[Avid-L2] Re: Another CC + Effect Mode Q

I hear you and I'm getting into the nuts and bolts but so far I haven't found a way to seamlessly deal with mixed drop and non drop time code. Please somebody tell me what I'm missing there. The round tripping is problematic at best. I've got a very straight forward show and it's still not that smooth.

Yes I need to get up to speed on Resolve but there is no way it will ever be as practical as staying in Avid. I know Resolve 10 is stepping into a more functional editing environment but after all these years we still don't have I and Q vectors on an Ultrascope. That doesn't bode well with seeing the kind of innovations Resolve will need along the way. I may be wrong but in the factory style finishing I have grown accustomed to with Avid it's hard to have all the hoops it takes to round trip. The only practical way seems to be to treat it like the conventional tape to tape workflow only with files of the complete show. Not the end of the world but with all the last minute changes I get it's a tough nut to swallow.
