Rich, both of your posts went through. But there's a thing with yahoogroups: on at least some groups, a subscriber who sends a post from a gmail account to a group doesn't get a copy of his/her own post, like a non-optional "no acknowledgement" command. But everyone else gets the post.
You can confirm by checking the web interface for the group:
