Re: [Avid-L2] Re: NewBlue Titler Pro

At risk of really pissing off your friends at Avid... This reminds me
of a conversation I was having with Bob Irvin last week. Bob is a truly
wonderful carpenter. He and several other contractors were over to talk
about fixing some work that was done improperly when our house was
built, twenty years ago. I was my own general contractor. We were just
visiting over a cup of coffee and Bob asked me something about what it
was like when we were building the place. I told him that I would stop
by the construction site every morning at around six and again after
work. I explained to Bob that my evening drive to the site was a
combination of hope that some good work had been done and hope that no
one had shown up. I reminisced about the time that in spite of detailed
plans, the foundation guy poured one of the footings in the wrong place,
the time the plumber decided on his own where the fixtures should go...

This is sort of how I feel about Avid fixing the Title Tool. I use it
almost every day. I see many weaknesses but for me, it handles a lot of
light lifting. I wish Avid would improve it and at the same time, I
fear that they would make it worse. --J.B.
