Different flavours and formats of LUTs can be hosted under the same file extension.
Make sure yours is Avid compatible.

Subject: [Avid-L2] Importing Alexa LUT into MC7
I'm trying to import a custom LUT (.lut file) into MC7 via the Color Management window in Settings. However, every time I try it I get a message saying the file format isn't supported. What? .lut files aren't supported?
What am I missing here?
