RE: [Avid-L2] Avid Sales Restructure

 

Mike -

That's the great tension in sales and Avid in particular - do you sell
direct or do you work thru a reseller channel that is messy and not always
focused on your product.

It's a challenge no matter how you do it. I like working as an independent
but it's not always easy.

But primarily as a pipeline consultant. If anything calling then sales reps
demeans the value of what they bring to the table.

However I feel that role is best filled independently rather than as an
employee of a single company. The best guys always suggested other products
but some guys tend to shoehorn in whatever their company makes.
