The problem with being a sales guy for any product these days is that you do all the leg work then people buy it direct on the website. For less.
It's a problem every industry is facing not just avid. I mean at this point is there anyone doesn't know avid exists? Would anyone considering an edit system not look at the latest avid and evaluate it?
90% of questions can be answered alone these days by downloading an evaluation copy which leaves only a few opportunities to the sales guys that remain.
Moving forward what's needed is more pipeline consultants and what used to be called systems integrators as the tech knowledge base of new users is pretty low.
