On my 6.0.1.1 drive in the AVX2 Plug-Ins/AMA/ there are four items:
MSP_AVCHD.avx
MVP_AVCHD.avx
MVP_MSP_Quicktime.avx
MVP_MSP_REDR3D.avx
With those installed I was able to ama link files in the stream folder which were .mts files. I was in a NTSC 30I project so I guess the cadence is coming from Avid adding a pulldown to get it to play in 29.97. Is it possible that not having the xf ama plugin is what's causing the strange cadence? I guess the bottom line question is if I don't have the correct ama plug ins how am I seeing the files in Avid or is it possible to bring these .mts files in with an incorrect ama plug in. The performance on the ama linked clips is very poor if that might be any indication of the wrong ama plug in. My AE said the only thing he needed was the AVCHD ama plugin on his system. I tell you this stuff is like herding cats with the exception I like cats they make me laugh and file based is never purrrrfect and it makes me cry. ;-(
