Just installed trial MC7 on a clean partition (Mac OS 10.8.4). For those who were griping about the real estate taken up by the audio mixer, look at the MC7 Audio Settings - 'Mix Tool Display Options'. Since I'm just testing, I can report that it seems to run OK on a 27" Core 2 Duo 3.06 Ghz iMac. Background transcoding worked - cool.
