This morning I cut a story on Avid Symphony for Weekend Today about the untimely death of Cory Monteith. He's the 31 year old actor who portrayed conflicted dim-bulb Finn Hudson on Glee. The spot aired at 8:33/9:33am on most of your NBC stations. The story aired in true surround sound, something of a rarity in news. Of course, online, the audio is in mono: <http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/52472310#52472310>. For the Internet, NBC uses only the center channel dialog track, thus the mix is not as it sounded on the air. They have their reasons.
