I'm swapping around some computers and want to add another seat of Resolve in the tower with one of our Media Composers, but DON'T want to add an expansion chassis (or a Nitris, for that matter.) Resolve requires a decklink card, so that forces my hand with to use BMD open IO instead of AJA Open IO. (My current config only uses the BMD for Resolve - the Symphony uses a Nitris.)
There was some traffic a few weeks about about poor performance.
Anyone else want to opine on using BMD Decklink instead of AJA (IO Express or Kona) with Media Composer? Good or bad, please.
