Nice walkthrough of the new Mac - shows all the components. The fan is in the top and pulls air from the bottom.

One other thought, regarding the fan. I've done tons of high power thermal design. Designs managing thousands of watts of power. One of the cardinal rules of thermal management is: You don't expose your fan's electronics to the hot side of the system. Why? Because this is a sure way to induce early failure. Rather than having fan electronics exposed to room-temperature air you are constantly baking it with hot air. Looking at what is currently available it isn't really clear how they might be dealing with this issue, if at all.
