I already moved to a MacBook Pro a little while ago... I think having 6 Thunderbolt 2 ports will take care of the expandability in time. The Thunderbolt market is still kind of immature for the moment, however. But I think they are doing the right thing- PCI is on life-support anyhow. I presume Avid is not that surprised by this development.
