[Avid-L2] thunderbolt fibrejet imac

Hello Fellow Web-surfers, grommets, newbies, lurkers, trolls and custom-sifters!

In the time-honoured tradition of the L, I'm here asking for help without having contributed anything for years...

Reason being we've used alternate editing methods.

However, we just put in some MC6.5 systems. All good.

However, we want to run an iMac with thunderbolt to an existing Fibrejet storage system.

Yeah, I know.

Anyhooose, we've our tech support saying can't be done and commandsoft saying "sure it can".

I'm not wanting to prove either of them wrong, BUT we need the system up in the next day or so and I'm hoping someone on the L has wrangled a similar beast or combination.

Meanwhile, we've made a web reality series (made VERY cheaply, to raise interest in Networks and Investors...) which can be seen at www.wimp2warrior.com

Please watch from Ep 1 rather than Ep 7 which is on the landing page.

I produced it, co-directed, co-wrote, co-edited, co-shot and we did VO recording, grading and audio mix in-house with only a week to completely post each episode.

I did all the After Effects, too. Oh, and the Photoshop.

A two-man job.

For those interested, here's the schedule:
(sunday, upload previous episode)
Monday: meeting to plan what goes in, spend day thinking
Tues: rough out script, identify key grabs, figure structure
Wed: Start pulling grabs onto timeline and into sequences
Thur: begin refining sequences, plan effects needed, shoot whatever extra is needed
Fri: bring in 2nd Editor who refines while I do After Effects and finalise VO script, record VO. I also find extra bits requested by 2nd Editor.
Sat: last minute stuff. refine chroma-key, do most-needed grading, begin to balance audio
Sun: finish everything, export, encode, upload, send codes to web maven.
Monday: see above, repeat for seven weeks.
