Clarity always seems to be an issue surrounding upgrades, so hence the
following question. I have a DONGLE-based SN license, upgraded from 5.5 to
6.5 including the upgrade to v7. I have an older, "land-locked" system based
on Nitris Classic/xw8400 that I'd like to keep going, for numerous reasons
including the associated Sapphire license. I've loaded/been running 6.5 on a
m6500 laptop, so far w/ good success. Of course I move the dongle between
the systems, since I only need to work on one of the systems at a time.
I would like to upgrade this 6.5 on the laptop to v7 - but I also want/need
to keep the dongle blessed w/ v5.5 for the immobile system.
Marianna (and others) - can I do this? Terence posted that the DONGLE will
only back trip to a v6/6.5, which I thought was the limitation of SW
licensing, not dongle.
