Oh and speaking of 32 bit....
Avid recently announced that the Final Sale Date of Media Composer v5.5 and NewsCutter v9.5 software (the final versions to support a 32 bit Operating System) is June 30th, 2013. I posted this to the forums a few times but wanted to do it here in case you didn't see it.
As of July 1st, 2013, the 5.5.x/9.5.x products will no longer be orderable or available for sale and MC 5.5 will be removed from the product page and no longer be available as 30 day software trial on avid.com.
Support: Support renewals will continue to be offered, however, bug fixes and maintenance updates will only be made available through the end of 2013, after which time support will only be able to provide troubleshooting and technical assistance. It is therefore recommended that customers under active ExpertPlus and Elite contracts upgrade to the current shipping version as soon as possible.
Full of info today :)
