Are you mac or PC? What about the settings that control the modifier keys behavior. I can't remember exactly where those choices are but it was something like allow standard windows key behavior or something. I'm on a mac right now and not seeing it in the settings. I seem to recall on PCs having to adjust that setting when trying to use a ctrl + key combo. Perhaps someone running PC Avid can remind me of what I am forgetting.
