My set-up is:
Symphony v6.5.2.1 / Nitris DX
Win7 Professional, SP-1, 64-bit
HP Z820
2 x 2.5 GHz
16 Gb RAM
nVidia Quadro 4000 v9.18.13.1090
(Dual Monitor @ 1920 x 1200)
Are the settings that control modifier key behavior located in Win7 /
Symph 6.5.x placed somewhere less obvious than before? I don't recall
there ever being such a conflict. At any rate, I'll double check in the
Control Panel and Symph settings when I return to the bay Wednesday
morning.
Thanks in advance.

was something like allow standard windows key behavior or something.
I'm on a mac right now and not seeing it in the settings. I seem to
recall on PCs having to adjust that setting when trying to use a ctrl +
key combo. Perhaps someone running PC Avid can remind me of what I am
forgetting.
