Exactly my concern, posted somewhere here on the L2 yesterday. I've written
to Marianna x3, but she hasn't addressed this issue yet and is
understandably super slammed. When I hear more about this I will certainly
post back here, or perhaps Marianna will your post, John, and post back
directly here.

From what I've read once you update your <dongle it's bye bye to all but
5.5.3.7, 6.0.4 and 6.5.3 for backwards bin compatibility. Also if it's a
symphony the dongle will not work with Pre 6.0 versions of Symphony but will
work with <earlier versions of mc. I guess the dongle issue might have
something to do with symphony now is an option on media composer. These are
some potential problems to consider if you <collaborate with others or have
to move projects back to other legacy systems.
