My desk has a monior bridge, which was fine when a) I didnt' have
progressive lenses; and b) the monitors were 20" CRTs. Now with
progressives and a 30" monitor, I either break my neck looking at the top
of the monitor through progressives, or I now own a pair of single-vision
"computer" glasses adjusted for the distance to my monitor (about the
length of my reach). Much better.
