I record to the H4N and then send the headphone output to the camera for sync. Works really well. I wouldn't mind putting a Juicedlink in front of the recorder eventually.

One option I just added was the Rode Smartlav so, we shoot with a shotgun boom and the lav and it gives a really nice sound for cheap in the mix. Clapper is a good idea with this however.
