In fact, now that you've reminded me, I didn't use D&C on that occasion... I looked at all the stuff I'd imported since my last good export... The PC had hung at the tail end of importing a music track earlier that day, but when the machine restarted the clip was there, so we carried on cutting with the music cue. Pulling that out of the sequence solved our problem.
