If it's not the length of the filenames, could it be some kind of illegal
character, either in the filename, or anywhere else in the filepath? (i.e.
one or more of the folders/sub-folders containing the files.)
Look for (and remove) any symbols or punctuation that you can find - stray
spaces at the end of file or folder names are particularly easy to miss.
