Hi,
MC v5.5.3 on an Avid qualified PC Laptop (WinXP 32 bit) running in software only mode. My system was acting wonky and I was getting some weird error messages with a bunch of code lines, so I decided to re-intall. I downloaded the latest update for 5.5.3, and the install appears to be successful, but when I go to launch, it gets to initializing MSM and I get the error message Exception: "MSM: No directory specified_3". When I click OK, Avid quits and sends me to the desktop. I tried the full install 3 times, and downloaded the installer twice, just to be sure, but no luck. I found nothing in the archives or knowledge base that is helpful. I'd be grateful for any thoughts or ideas.
I have a client on deadline, so I'm really up against it right now.
