I have received a hard drive full of what I am told are Arri Alexa files.
Quicktime reports these files as ProRes 4444, 23.976 fps.
Here's the thing I want to verify - All of the files are named similar to
this:
"A002C001_130417_R3D4.MOV"
There's also a FCP-generated .XML file in each footage directory, as well
as an Avid Log Exchange file.
Does Arri Alexa use the RED camera file extension? .R3D? MediaInfo seems to
indicate that these were indeed created by an Arri camera, but I want to
verify, if anyone can help.
My perusal of the Arri site hasn't been too fruitful.
TIA,
