Re: [Avid-L2] transcoding to ProRes rather than DNx

 

I
don't know about Avid allowing you to straight drop QTs into the
MediaFiles folder, but ffmpeg (which is free and crossplatform) can encode
to DNxHD in an MXF container, which you can just throw straight in like
native media (no need for AMA or fast important). As for metadata, not
sure on that count.
