Having worked on FCP7, Premier 4 thru 5.5, and MC from Avid Express
through 5.5 - the problem is your premise is wrong.
The Lamborghini / Toyota comparison between these platforms hasn't been
valid in many many years. That's why FCP came on like gangbusters.
Yes, I remember that Avid Express being $40K+ when I purchased it. And
it had a whopping 18 gigs of drive space.....
