While my sentiment matches yours, that hasn't been my actual experience. I've done a number of jobs for out-of-town production companies that involved file conversions, adding LUTs and syncing double-system sound. This was required precisely because the editorial company (also in a different town) specified that the production company deliver one-light, sync'ed edit-ready "dailies" in ProResLT format. So that was revenue I earned and they didn't. And yes, Resolve has been a great tool for that.
