[Avid-L2] OT: For those looking for Belden they are in North Hall in the Miranda Booth

After misspelling Belden as "Beldon" in my NAB smart phone app and getting nothing I was glad to stumble on Belden in what looked like the Miranda booth.  I didn't know Belden has acquired Miranda and Softel and perhaps other companies so they are in the North Hall.  The compression fit one piece bnc connectors of two years ago and the water proof versions are there and they all have the same size sleeve so regardless of what size cable you use the same crimping tool works for all.  They modify the sleeves with varying bushings to adjust to the cable diameter.  Pretty cool at about 2 bucks a pop they are more pricey than a standard crimp bncs like kings but the one piece design and faster compression tool helps offset the cost with faster installation time.  They also added a ratcheting action on the compression/crimping tool for more reliable mechanical action and a detachable stand for the base of the tool so you can set it on the ground or table
to get more pressure and not have to squeeze all the time for those with more delicate hands.  Always fun to see the little stuff and how they change based on customer needs and suggestions.  Unfortunately the compression tool's color corrector and title tool remain unchanged.  Perhaps Belden is channeling the wrong company some of the time.  ;-)
