I was referring to the check-in/check-out system in regards to the project
sharing discussion that was going on. If I were to relate the remote
editing aspect of Adobe Anywhere to anything it would be the onlive or
gaikai gaming services where you can play PC/console games with high-end
graphics over the internet - the games being rendered on the server side
while the control interface sits on the client side. Of course this will
work better for editing because a little lag is acceptable. Gaming is the
bigger industry so I don't blame Avid/Adobe for getting into cloud-based
editing 5 years later... although I do know that Adobe Story (or whatever
it was) has been available for a while. Had to use it because I couldn't
afford Final Draft for my script writing classes in college.
