QT7 Pro doesn't install as part of FCP, however FCP will upgrade the
license to Pro automatically. The player detects the Pro Apps license.
There is no Pro option for the QuickTime X player. You must install the
older QT 7.x Player. It's included on the Final Cut Studio discs and also
downloadable from Apple.
The Pro option simply unlocks features in the QT 7 player. It does not
install anything new...Its just a serial number. The extra codecs are
installed by Final Cut Pro.
