Re: [Avid-L2] OT: DCP software

Using QubeMaster Xpress for one-off key-less DCP's (screening cutting copy versions of projects I'm working on). Fairly straightforward. But it takes rendering time (6hrs for a 2hr show on my z800). You'll likely need to deliver on an ext-formatted drive (you'll need to install software to use that format on Macs or PC's). Most common delivery caddy is CRU DX115 - most if not all venues have a storage system that can read from these drives.

QubeMaster Xpress needs 0-255 full swing QT sources. If you want to use a center speaker for dialogue, it requires you mix/export in SMPTE 5.1. Very few theatres allow a 2-track source to be routed through a matrix decoder.
