Yes you are correct I use alpha channels on imports all the time. What was it about alpha channels that wasn't supported originally? Was there something about the DNX codec that didn't support an alpha channel early on? or as you say am I totally confusing it with ProRes? Well that withstanding I still don't see how an Avid export of a self contained DNX QT carries over any tie to whether the source sequence had a keyable graphic in it.
