Well here's what I found when I brought the project to MC 5.5.3. It gave me the error message the bin name is longer than 27 characters when I tried to open it. I could see the full name in the project window but when I tried to truncate the name in Avid it didn't seem to work and it reverted to the original too long name. I had to go to the finder level and truncate the name and then I could open it in Avid. I hadn't bothered to look for the 27 character limit setting in 5.5.3 because I figured it didn't exist after I didn't find it in SNDX 6.5.2. I'll check when I get home to see if I could just enable that setting and not have to truncate bin names.
