Re: [Avid-L2] 'Relink to AMA Files'

I think I remember reading about that change in the release notes for
6.5 -- allowing all the clips to be relinked based on the location of
the first one. So if you're not on 6.5 yet, it may behave differently.

Tested by linking to a bunch of clips, quitting, moving clips to different drive then relaunching and selecting the offline clips. Using 'Relink to AMA Clips', you can relink, provided that you carefully select the first named clip in the selection in the relink window. The others then follow (or they did just now). If the first clip it is looking for is 'Clip 4' and you inadvertently select 'Clip 2', errors are flagged (a bit like FCP& in fact). Worth the investigation.

I ask because I (and a student of mine) are in the position of having moved camera card copies from one drive to another (they go offline in the bin). Sounds like 'Relink to AMA Files' is the command that would resolve this but no. Any ideas, please? MC 6.5, Mac.
