That comment (by me) was perfectly reasonable. One side of an issue resorted to unsubstantiated fear mongering that didn't help those after reasonable debate. I've looked pretty deeply into the whole Fairness Doctrine; interviewed FCC staff and commissioners, NAB and other lobbyists, Congressional folks, scholars. Sadly, that article in Broadcast Engineering doesn't advance the debate as much as it could.
