John, I think most people would take Jim's mention of "Obama death panels" to be a metaphor for reductionist fear mongering and the deliberate spreading of disinformation. I myself didn't interpret it as a comment on Obama, health care, death panels, or any other aspect of the statement's literal content, and I don't think Jim intended it that way. I think calling the statement "smut" is a misinterpretation of the writer's intent, and it doesn't strike me as a very sophisticated reading of it. I also consider it unnecessarily hostile and inflammatory.

No it wasn't. The mention of Obama Death Panels has nothing to do with TV, video
or our industry, no matter how hard you try to pigeon-hole it in. Keep your
