OK - ever since I first saw an Avid in 1992, the only place for an Avid MediaFiles folder has been at the root level of a particular drive. Today I needed to recreate some title media. Chose a bin and left the media drive choice on 'Effect Source Drive' (which hasn't really meant anything for some years). Hit 'OK'. Where did the media go? Into a newly created Avid MediaFiles folder buried deep in a local drive. Here is the path:
/Volumes/BU Seagate/Seagate Scratch/Media/HSC MSc Pub Health Consol Oct 2012/
And yes, there is an Avid MediaFiles folder inside the subfolder 'HSC MSc Pub Health Consol Oct 2012' ! WTF?
With Best Wishes,
