Re: [Avid-L2] Re: i5 vs. i7

 

I'm running MC5.5 and Premier Pro on a 27" Imac, I7, 16gigs of ram, 250
Solid State HD. We have 1 external monitor, and a Pegasus Drive array
running off the thunderbolt, and another monitor running off the mini port.

Rock solid, and very comparable with the similarly equipped I7 Windows 7
machine that I freelance at another shop. That machine has the same
processor and Ram, and SATA drives. The Mac seems slightly faster,
which would be expected with the solid state system drive.

No specific testing, just my feeling.
