I know the offset and region tracking has been in avid for quite a while but I had gotten so use to doing it manually with keyframes and repositioning the tracking dot and adjusting the shape manually I never bothered to investigate the function. On a blur intensive job I finally looked up the offset tracking and how to create new tracking regions and voila I've been quite the bone head for not trying this earlier. If you haven't tried it give it a whirl I was quite happy to have thought outside my blur box.
