close... but 'playlists' on an LSM are Vid and Audio together - you can do a split edit but there's no quick & easy way of painting a cut with an iso for example.
It was an EVS product, IPEdit, which has 'Edit While Playout' mode... i.e. you can make edits in your timeline, while it is playing out - up to 5 seconds before the frame that airs...
First time I've used that functionality and it was very smooth. Got to Part 7 and we were waiting for the live show to finish. Still trimming bits out of chat out of that part as it aired though.
I can't really figure out how this can be done with any other editor currently. Closest I've been before is where the part has been finished (just) before air.
