[Avid-L2] Re: OTish: Replacement Optical drive for iMac 5.1?

 

I sent you an email about this, but when I pulled out the internal optical from my macbook pro to put another SSD in, I found iDVD had issues. Here is what I did to get mine to see the external as the internal....

The directions on that page will get it working. Might be time to keep that external and start looking at your next machine, though. Good luck
