2 NAB's ago when I saw the new machines that could have up to 4 dockable drives I was under the impression the add on unit that would give existing 5800 decks the drive option was not possible with the 5500 decks at the time. Are the /2 decks you mention using the add on drive unit or are they just using the ethernet port to allow file access. Perhaps much has changed about this format and the decks that support it these days. I've never had occasion to use the Telefile etc.... on a 5500. Am I missing out on something great?
